December has been a great month starting with the group show at the Waldron Arts Center in Bloomington, Indiana. The highlight for me was my granddaughter, Helena, posing with her portrait for the attendees. The Tiny Show at the 924 Gallery produced a special surprise. NUVO ran a special feature about the Tiny Show which featured Two of my pieces. "One of the highlights is Tom Brown's "Tiny Trumpkin & Little Mickie I & II, a set of small scale portraits of the President Elect and Mike Pence. Pence is depicted in grayscale, against a rainbow backdrop, an ironic nod to his unfriendly stance on RFRA. Trump is depicted in shades of orange and yellow, in profile during one of his angry tirades, like a bonfire glowing white hot, feeding on plastic trash." This Friday was the opening of the Indianapolis Art Center Annual Juried Show. Gray Carole (shown below) won the award for Best of Professional Class. This award will include a show of my work in October 2017. The new year is ,shaping up to be very exciting with three group shows and two individual shows already scheduled and lots of juried shows to enter. Curly Tom extends his thanks for all your support this year and best wishes for the holidays. Gray Carole received the award for Best of Professional Class at the Indianapolis Art Center Annual Juried Show.
