Tom Brown studied art at Ball State University where he received a Bacholors Degree in Education. He also has a Masters in Financial Science from the American College. For the last fifty years he has owned and operated a financial services business in Greenwood, Indiana.

Twenty-one years ago he again picked up his interest in art by taking classes at the Indianapolis Art Center. He still attends the Art Center to participate in the art community. He has attended art workshops throughout the country, and has had work in many juried shows and won a number of awards. He also participated in numerous solo exhibits and group shows. His art was recently featured on WFYI's "The Art of the Matter".
